Dental Fillings

The process of removing decay, replacing an older filling, or repairing a small chip on a tooth is straightforward and can usually be completed in one short appointment. Our Bayshore dentists pay close attention to the function, the contacts between each tooth, and the surrounding tissues to ensure proper seal and comfort from your new filling.

Bayshore dentists also use the most advanced composite materials for these fillings to restore the natural look and feel of the tooth.

Dentures & Partials

People with dentures mistakenly believe they will no longer need routine dental care. But the truth is that because the gums are in a constant state of change, periodic relining of dentures will be necessary to  ensure a tight and comfortable fit. If you have lost weight or have had significant changes to the bone, you may also need a new prosthesis or other considerations might also provide more stability, like dental implants.

Extractions

Your Bayshore Dentists work to save teeth from this fate, but there are conditions that extraction is the only available option. Most often this is a minor surgical procedure and can be completed in our office. If your surgeyr needs are more involved, our oral surgeon visits our practice at least once a month and can accomodate most sedation and surgery needs.

Root Canal

As with other parts of your body, your teeth and supporting tissues can become infected if exposed to bacteria through decay, fracture, acute trauma, or chronic disease. When infected, your Bayshore Dentist may  recommend a rescue procedure called a root canal. During this procedure, the canals of each root are cleaned, sterilized, and sealed to prevent bacteria from continuing to cause destruction. Often, a root canal treatment will save a tooth from extraction.
